Trade visitors from more than 60 countries return to Feria Habitat Valencia this September

Reassuming its former positioning in September from the 19th to the 22nd, Feria Habitat Valencia reaffirms itself as the main international showcase of the Spanish furniture industry and a key event in the second half of the year. To boost the internationalization of the show, the organizers, in collaboration with trade associations ANIEME and FEDAI and the public institutions IVACE and ICEX, have launched an ambitious visitor campaign that has led to the invitation of international buyers and specifiers, journalists and national agents and retailers.

The global context has created good trade opportunities for those Spanish companies that want to build a presence in the international markets and for those that are planning to expand their horizons towards new destinations and market segments.

The interest sparked by the fair among professionals in Eastern Europe and Russia is particularly significant as it proves that the economic recovery is well underway in markets that are crucial for Spain’s haute décor industry and contract sector.

Neighbouring markets still weigh significantly as they have consolidated as main clients for Spanish furniture exporters. In this group, France, Portugal, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Morocco and Algeria are the top importers of Spanish products.

Another significant presence will be that of the interior designers and specifiers coming from Latin America as all of them are currently working on major residential, hospitality and commercial projects in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Panamá, Colombia and Miami. Equally noteworthy are the confirmations received from buyers from developing countries, such as Iran or Senegal.

PRESS ACCREDITATION

In addition to trade visitors, the organization – in collaboration with ANIEME and with the support of ICEX (the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade) - has also arranged the press accreditation of more than 30 international journalists from Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Morocco, Mexico, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine. These are all professionals from leading medias related to architecture, interior design and home décor who have expressed renewed interest in the Spanish furniture industry and its biggest fair.

NATIONAL MARKET

Another important counterpart in this years’ edition is the national market whose demand of furniture is gradually recovering from the previous crisis. Feria Hábitat Valencia has been promoting itself actively to Spanish professionals, not just by bringing together an attractive offer rich in styles and products but also by making it easier for professionals in the industry to come to Feria Valencia.
