In February 18 to 22, two of the most iconic pieces of the brand KENDO MOBILIARIO, the TRIA occasional table by Nadadora and the STEP desk by Francesc Rifé, took the center stage at The Design Circus, a three day live event that was held at the Venn Gallery in Perth CBD. Let’s peep into it…
Hosted by local Mobilia and curated by world renowned designers Culdesac from Valencia, Spain, The Design Circus showcased designs from top-notch designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Mario Ruiz and the Bouroullec Brothers as well as collections previously unseen on Australian shores by Jasper Morrison, Ramón Esteve, Apparatu and Nadadora studios.
Main aim of the event, inspired to the enchanted world of circus and its human qualities, was to stimulate interest and excitement in innovative design via active experience. With products performing as acrobats, tight-rope walkers and dancers, Spain’s design played a starring role with brands such as Kettal, Punt Moble, Vondom, Nanimarquina and Kendo Mobiliario.
Among “performers”, there were the STEP desk and console table and the TRIA occasional table of the Spanish KENDO MOBILIARIO.
Created by Nadadora, TRIA is a beautiful occasional table with a round top and a three-leg base. Made of lacquered metal, it is available in a choice of vibrant colors that bring energy and style to contemporary lounge spaces.
STEP is a creation of Francesc Rifé that features a stunning combination of planes and outlines. Elegant yet functional, this collection of consoles and writing desks is available in matt or glossy lacquers with different trendy colours: red, grey, black, graphite, red, yellow and the stylish stone. The frame includes an integrated drawer.
With over 1,000 attendees, including international, national and local members of architect and design community, The Design Circus thrilled its audience with really cool and vibrant designs, all of them made in Spain.
