The first change of the forthcoming edition is the new location of pavilions that will host the exhibition. In order to concentrate the offer and make it easier the flow of visitors among the stands, the whole fairground will occupy Feria Valencia’s new pavilions 1 to 3 on two levels.

Made in Spain design at its best in hall 3

Pavilion3 will house Spanish top ranking and internationally renowned design brands, such as ACTIU, CAPDELL, KOO INTERNATIONAL, ANDREU WORLD, EXPORMIM, GANDIA BLASCO, NOMON, PUNT MOBLES, SANCAL, VICCARBE, VONDOM, ZIRU etc.

In this pavilion, companies that received the National Design Award will be exhibiting together as a group for the first time in a dedicated exhibit area: the National Design Award Winners Space, which will be decorated in a specially conceived style and will be a major attraction for all visiting professionals and media.

This is indeed an unprecedented initiative that responds to manufacturers’ different needs by creating different display groupings categorized by styles: designer, classic/haute décor, modern, upholstered/bedroom furniture and home textiles.

To complete the exclusive offer on show in pavilion 3, there will be a space set aside for young Spanish designers: nude 2012, now in its 11^th edition. A total of 25 design practices and 8 design colleges have been selected by a prestigious jury to showcase their appealing habitat proposals and furnishing items, most of whom have already won various recognitions.

nude, the New Design Show, is the interiors industry’s creative nerve centre at the Valencia trade fair. A space where young designers come into contact with the industry’s manufacturers and have a great opportunity to carve themselves a niche in the professional world.

Flash, the successful platform for contract projects

Flash Habitat Valencia is an exclusive place that hosts contract furnishing items and lighting by the most international leading avant-garde brands, such as ALMERICH, B&B ITALIA, EMU, GANDIA BLASCO, KENDO MOBILIARIO, KOO INTERNATIONAL, MAGIS, TRE-P & TRE-PIU, VICCARBE, VITRA, just to name a few. This special format, that saw its debut in 2011 edition, will be located in pavilion 1, on the second level.

Tribute to Jaime Hayón

As a part of the design platform, the fair pays a special tribute to Spanish designers who have made a strong name for themselves on the international design scene. This exhibit, that took place for the first time in 2010 with a special homage to Patricia Urquiola and her works, will occupy a privileged place in Pavilion 1 next to Flash Habitat Valencia.

This year tribute will be paid to Jaime Hayón, doubtlessly one of today’s most relevant creators whose career is one of the most brilliant in Spanish contemporary design. In the decoration and interior design domain, he has worked with reference firms and has signed pieces and collections of worldwide prestige, some of which will be on show at Feria Hábitat Valencia.

The Hayón exhibit will occupy the central “Flash Hábitat Valencia” area, and the pieces will be arranged in a circular fashion as if to mark the hours on a simulated large clock, a clock which will reflect Hayón’s brilliant career.

Focus on Latin American markets

As Latin America is one of the target markets for Spanish exhibitors, the event organization has worked on different actions in order to attract important Latin American specifiers and professional from the United States who are carrying out interior projects in Central and South American countries.

A group of architects and interior designers, as well as developers of projects involved in the hospitality, office and luxury residence segment, has been invited to share their experience and knowledge in the field with exhibiting firms and visitors in a professional contract area which is to be located in the design pavilion. In this place, called the Contract Business Area, other events will take place: conferences, debates, work groups, etc.

Other acts will also be organized, such as a cocktail lunch in the trade fair and a guided tour to facilitate the networking between specifiers and exhibitors. Moreover, various parallel events have been scheduled within the trade fair frameworks, such as the Valencia Disseny Week, in collaboration with ADCV (the Valencian Community Designer Association). This event is filled with design related activities which will take place in the city of Valencia in conjunction with Feria Habitat Valencia.
