Right at the start of each year, relevant market leaders of the international interior design world and top design labels congregate in Cologne ath the imm to showcase their new, inspiring furnishing ideas and the very best of their most recent production. In its 2019 edition, which will take place in January from the 14th to the 20th, the fair will host an increasing number of exhibitors, more than 1,450 this year, consolidating its role as a benchmark for the interior design industry and a successful location for business.
imm cologne, an international business platform
The international vocation of imm is reflected by the increasing number of foreign exhibitors: 71% from 55 different countries. Design brands from Scandinavia to Spain make a regular appearance on the Rhine capital with Italian companies leading the range of foreign contingents. As a matter of fact, the who’s who of the European design scene can be found in Cologne.
Over the latest years, the event has also attracted a growing number of visitors from Europe and Asia, which are the No. 1 export markets for the German and European furniture industries. In total, around 125,000 visitors from 139 countries attended the last year’s event, including specialist retailers and high-profile international key players from the furnishing trade and interior design business, with many of them coming from the global top 30 chains. And what’s more, visitors’ profiles were rated as excellent by most of the exhibitors.
