The INDEX DUBAI, which this year is going to celebrate its 25th anniversary, is the place where architects, interior designers and specifiers come to network and source furnishing products from all around the world. And the importance of the GCC real estate and interior market is not to be underestimated, as major projects will be carried out in the next years in countries like Qatar and the UAE, where the World Cup 2022 and the World Expo 2020 will be held. According to the annual Ventures ME Report, the GCC interior market is expected to increase by 9% to US$ 7.98 billion in 2015.
Dubai is also a main hub where interior and building solutions are sourced and re-exported to the large scale development projects happening across the GCC region and neighbouring countries, such as Egypt, Jordan or Lebanon.
With such premises, trade opportunities in the Gulf area remain high for the Spanish furniture companies, which are already significantly present in the retail and contract networks. The offer that the group of 6 Spain’s companies will exhibit this year in Dubai in halls 1, 6 and at the Workspace reflects the local demand for luxury interior products, contemporary office solutions and interior design services for the retail market.
