SINGAPORE, next destination for Mueble de Espana
As a part of its promotional plan for 2012, ANIEME, the Spanish of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters, in collaboration with ICEX, the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade, has organized a trade mission to Singapore that will be taking place from July the 4th to the 6th. Four Spanish furniture companies, OFIFRAN, VALENTI, VONDOM and ZIRU, all of them under the brand MUEBLE DE ESPAÑA, will take part in this promotional action.
The Spanish companies will meet local importers, specifiers, architects and interior designers with the objective of reaching commercial agreements and strengthening the presence of the Spanish furniture offer in the Singapore market.
Singapore offers good business opportunities for Spanish brands, particularly for manufacturers with medium-high to high-end product ranges in contemporary style. Companies specialized in the equipment of installations have good opportunities too to make good contacts within the contract sector.
Although there is only a small number of furniture importers, imports have been increasing since 2006, revealing a special interest for mid-high range furniture. This increasing trend is due, most of all, to the development of the construction and real estate sector. Imports of furnishing products are destined for the retail and contract sectors. Most of the local furniture businesses offer interior design services as well, extending their range of products to lighting and textile.
