This 61st edition is also somewhat exceptional, not just in terms of product and exhibitors’ quality – which is high as usual -, but mostly for a substantial revision of the exhibition format in an attempt to generate more value for the entire design community. The new formula is based in three main changes: the single exhibition level, with the exhibitors from the upper halls (8-12, 16-20) relocated to the lower ones in order to offer an almost “urbanistic” approach to the internal design of the fairground – a decision conceived to improve accessibility and visitor experience -; the new Euroluce layout, completely redesigned by the Lombardini22 studio, with a circular circuit focused on visitors and their fruition of the event for a simpler and more organic visit, that leaves no exhibitor behind; the interdisciplinary cultural component integrated into the spaces of Euroluce, which is based on the relationship between light, architecture, art and science.

Over the latest years, Spain’s exports of furniture have seen a positive trend positioning an increasing number of Spanish brands as key players of the international interior design industry. In 2022, Spain's exports of furniture increased by 13% to 2,954 million euros, an encouraging result considering the war and the unstable geopolitical context. On one side, France consolidates as the main foreign market for Spain’s exports of furniture (839 million euros, +5.2%), followed at a distance by Portugal (437 million euros, +19.6%) and the United States (213 million euros, +17.0%). Exports to Italy, which ranks 5th, grew by +13.6% amounting to 145 million euros.
