Spain’s design scene is an exciting conglomeration of styles, craftsmanship and innovation. Over the year, Spanish brands have been perfecting their craft and innovating the manufacturing process to ensure products of the highest quality and beauty. The numerous collaborations with big names of the international design scene have led to the creation of vibrant, fresh designs that punctuate spaces with unexpected accents, bringing that extra bit of joy, style and colour to everybody’s life.

Stylish indoor designs & innovative interior concepts

Whether you want to turn your bedroom into a cosy paradise, create an ultra-comfortable lounge space or adapt an impersonal dining room into an ideal entertaining space, Spain’s designer brands offer exciting pieces and bespoke solutions that can shape the perfect backdrop for any room or space at home or in hotels, restaurants, offices and public spaces. Passion, elegance and style combine with no limits to creativity…

The trend for mixing natural wood and minimalist aesthetics has always remained essential to Spain’s design industry as it inspires elegance and stylish lifestyles. Functionality and great modularity also play an important role as in the latest collections of Catalonia-based ARLEX, the TURIA and NARA modular containers, designed respectively by La Mamba and Odosdesign.

The MATRIOSKA and FREESTYLE modular programmes, with their spots of invigorating colours and unusual shapes, take creativity and versatility to the extreme, adding fun and function to contemporary ambiences.

Mid-century accents and Nordic inspirations fuse in the refined collections of the Basque TREKU, a specialist in modular living room and bedroom furniture. The sideboards, cabinets, shelving units and TV stands of the AURA, LAUKI and KAI collections, as well as the BORA bedroom and the BASOA and BITA tables, radiate warmth and effortless elegance thanks to the hypernatural finish of woods (walnut an oak, mainly) which come combined with earthy colour lacquers and other natural material (leather, metal and even marble).

In the new line of AURA sideboards, the retro look is accentuated by the thin high cylindrical metal legs.

Comfort and naturalness are also important priorities for another Basque brand:  ONDARRETA which has enriched its catalogue with new exquisite model of tables and chairs, plus the newly-launched ultra-sleek DRY shelves, a modular solution that will inject style and dynamism to cool spaces. DRY is complemented by the new DRY table that comes in different heights, widths and lengths.

Made of rattan, the GRES stool, created by Miguel Milá for Valencia-based EXPORMIM, is a reedition of a classic piece dating back to 1962 that challenges fashion trends and conventions of a specific era. It is available as a high or low stool, enhancing beautifully shaped, tangent lines of rattan as four frames that support a cushioned seat.

The sinuous, attractive GATA chair, by father-and-son team Miguel and Gonzalo Milá, also uses natural peeled rattan for its structure and its struts.

Artistic contaminations provide not only inspirations, but also pioneering experimentations with shapes, innovative materials and new functionality. Take as an example the amazing EIFFEL table from table and chair specialist DISCALSA. The sturdy structure and the open-lattice metalwork, which has been inspired by the renowned Parisian monument, ensure great stability and offer support to the precious, highly resistant ceramic tops.
