March 8 / 2017

Noble wood, gilding, marquetry and hand carving stay at the core of Spain’s classic furniture production and have contributed to its prestige all over the world. At the base of it there is also a profound knowledge of each and every phase of the production process, which is sometimes still done entirely manually.

The combination of craftsmanship with modern technology has allowed new innovative products and aesthetics that are more in tune with modern-day lifestyle. VICENTE ZARAGOZÁ – Hall 2 Stand E26

Grand style and master craftsmanship. VICENTE ZARAGOZÁ offers furniture in wood veneer and lacquer finishes, with solid beech wood used in all items. In both wood and lacquer finishes, all surfaces are covered in natural wood veneer. In wood veneer finish, each collection has its own principal veneer and all inlay designs are individually hand-made with many different kinds of veneer, to provide different colours and textures; in lacquered furniture, the veneer is mukali, which is not visible but it is used for its reliability and flexibility when used with all kinds of finishing materials.

FLORENCIA Collection. Like all VICENTE ZARAGOZÁ’s collections, the new FLORENCIA bedroom, which will be on display in Milan, is hand-lacquered, with intriguing marble and brush effects, and decorated with designs in gold and silver leaf. To ensure a uniform finish across a whole set of furniture (bedroom, dining-room, etc.), each order is lacquered as one set, so that the tone and effects will be as similar as possible everywhere in the set. In both wood veneer and lacquer, each item is individual and unique, due to the difference in the details of the inlay designs or the lacquer finishing.

PRAGA Boiserie. At Il Salone the firm will also display the outstanding PRAGA boiserie, meticulously handcrafted by master artisans by inlaying the ash veneer with noble wood, such as olive and pear wood. Gold leaf decorations are also possible on demand.

In addition to the standard items, the firm can produce just about any special piece of furniture to customer’s specifications.
