Maison&Objet Paris 2020: BLASCO, sofas and armchairs with a strong traditional character

January 9 / 2020

Artisan manufacturing, design, comfort, quality, functionality. These are the core values which underpin BLASCO’s business philosophy. Since 1945, this Madrid-based company has been manufacturing upholstered furniture that integrates function, form, craftsmanship, beauty and an enduring elegance. Although materials and techniques have been adapted to new manufacturing processes, the firm strives to retain its traditional character based on the work of experienced craftsmen.

The range of products is quite wide and includes sofas, sofa-beds, sectionals, chaises longues, chairs, benches, armchairs, tables and rugs. In all of them, comfort plays a key role; all the items are built using top-quality materials and put under strict quality controls to provide clients with the best sitting experience ever.

Materials – such as noble woods, steel, natural fibres, the best latex foams and down – are carefully selected to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

Durability is another main issue at BLASCO. All their sofas and armchairs are designed and built to last a lifetime transcending fashions and trends. Some models are replicas of the most iconic pieces of the brand; they maintain all their original charm although they have been adapted in materials, dimensions and proportions to current lifestyles.

Extra durability is also ensured by the covers that complement some models and make it possible for customers to enjoy the sofa all year round. Covers made of chenille and wool are warm and can be used in winter to set a cozy atmosphere in the living rooms, while linen, cotton and hemp make sofas and armchairs more enjoyable in summer. This way, you do not need to change your BLASCO’s sofa; just change the cover and the look choosing from a selection of fabrics and colours that are constantly updated according to new styles and trends.

At the M&O, BLASCO will be exhibiting in the Today sector, in hall 6, presenting a wide selection of products from its latest catalogue, all of them registered with the EU Intellectual Property Office (Nr. 006376083).

MERCURY collection

One of the latest additions to the BLASCO catalogue, MERCURY is a collection that includes a sofa, a fixed or swivel armchair and a pouffe. The collection mixes new materials and techniques with the best values of old quality upholstery.

As in other models, comfort is maximized by the hand-tied springs.

PAUL sofa

Thanks to its simple design, PAUL is the sofa that better than anyone can boast a true timeless elegance. In comparison to other models, it features a slightly lower seat that makes it suitable for the most contemporary spaces. The large back cushions complete the look adding comfort and style. Available in upholstered or fully removable version.
