Living & dining room storage at the Salone del Mobile. Milano 2016: the top 11 made in Spain

At the Salone the new storage and display cabinets presented by the Spanish companies came in a choice of styles to match different ambiences and tastes. New storage and shelving units of brands such as MOBENIA, ARLEX, LOYRA have been designed to create a personalized look that marries modern and traditional elements as well as different colours, textures and materials. On the other hand, MARINER, AMBOAN, VALENTÍ, TECNI NOVA, COLECCIÓN ALEXANDRA and TOMÁS & SAEZ put the emphasis on beauty and the glam factor. Be sure, you will find what you need…

New living room spaces are pleasant, warm and extremely homey thanks to the mix of natural materials (wood, metal, leather and marble) and the use of rounded retro-inspired lines.

SOHO collection, HURTADO

Marble has moved centre stage, adding a hint of glamour wherever it goes: a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom or a bathroom. It is used on fronts and tops and it comes in different grain and colours. The trend for metals and gleaming finishes seems to be here to stay, embracing geometrical shapes and new manufacturing processes. Natural wood is a fixed guest, most of the time in combination with colour lacquered elements and other materials.

EVEN collection, marble top, MOBENIA LUXURY

Sideboards, cabinets and TV stands are visually simple, with a strong emphasis on horizontal lines, although the richness in details and the combinations of materials give them beauty and a subtler look.

MATRIOSKA modular programme, ARLEX

Modularity is taken to the extreme with shelving programmes that can grow across a wall creating home libraries, TV stands and different storage options.

JAZZ sideboard by Borja García Studio for MOBENIA LUXURY

Careful craftsmanship is the key to a piece which rediscovers the beauty of meticulous, detailed work. On a base piece made of noble materials, a subtle alternation of latticework, textures and finishes adds interest, rhythm and dynamism to the piece.

TURIA collection by La Mamba for ARLEX

Inspired by mid-century design, TURIA is a new collection of streamlined sideboards, cabinets and wall units for pared-back interiors. Made of natural timber, the collection features original cylinder-shaped handles, which draw inspirations from the door security locks on old cars, and a top with rounded edges.

Visual lightness is given by the proportions and the metallic legs made of painted double rods.

YOKO bookcase by Ximo Roca for LOYRATIME

A multi-tasking bookcase that takes modularity and personalization to the extremes. Modules come in different dimensions and colours and can be combined to add dynamism to the whole composition. To maximize the storage space and functionality, shelves can also support boxes and protruding rectangular units that can work as desks or consoles.

Made of American walnut, the DETROIT bookcase combines sober design, top quality materials and great attention to details.

It plays with opens and voids including modules finished with refined cracked lacquers and sliding doors and back panels covered in leather.

FORTUNE upholstered sideboard, TECNI NOVA

With a structure finished in wenge, the FORTUNE sideboard (mod. 4215/14), as well as the cupboard 4215, come upholstered in Chic Azabache fabric (series 4) with precious golden details.

Perfect to bring sophistication and a luxury touch to refined contemporary ambiences…

ALPHA sideboard, VALENTI

While staying true to the artisanal values of the brands, the new ALPHA collection has a strong contemporary look.

In its design, straight and curved lines combine with noble wood, high gloss lacquers and stainless steel details that enhance the beauty of pieces and their sophisticated appeal.

SOHO sideboard, HURTADO

Noble wood, brass details, marble, leather contribute to enhance the aesthetic features of this beautiful sideboard which is ideal to bring style and refinement in your living room.

It features brass integrated pull handles and drawers provided with push-to-open and soft-closing system. Available in walnut, maple, oak, mahogany, ash wood roots and rosewood.

TWENTY sideboard by Pedro Peña for AMBOAN

TWENTY is a state-of-the-art object that features a stunning combination of oak wood and high-gloss lacquers in contrasting colours. The sliding doors are embellished by stylized Arabesque motifs.

The transparent feet make it feel as if it’s hovering above the floor.

DOLAN bookcases, EBONY Collection, EPOCA

The sculptural DOLAN bookcase, a new addition to the EBONY collection, is perfect for creating a library at home and adding a glam appeal to your living space.

In contrast with the dark external structure, which is finished in black maple wood with a glossy lacquer, the mirror panels and the sycamore interiors add a sense of light and space to ambiences.

NANTES sideboard by Sergio Pérez for MARINER

Inspired by the French Empire style, the NANTES collection features a set of geometric marquetry-work and bronze ornaments that blend perfectly with the delicate oak burl veneer. An absolute gem ready to be enjoyed with taste and refinement.

PRISMAS sideboard and cabinet, TOMÁS & SAEZ

Made of Makassar ebony and pomele with stainless steel details, the PRISMAS sideboard is a stunning work of art aimed at bringing a glam feel in the most exclusive living rooms.

The reverse diamond match of the Makassar ebony veneer creates an amazing effect on the front of this spectacular sideboard, whose beauty is also enhanced by the contrasting wood and the refned diamons-shaped handles.
