MUEBLE DE ESPANA trade mission to Russia explores new opportunities for the Valencia Community’s furniture companies
From September 29th to October 5th, a group of 5 furniture companies from the Valencia Community will be visiting potential clients in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The trade mission, in which take part ACTIU, ALONDRA INFANTIL, GAMAMOBEL, GENOVEVA and PRIMARTE, has been organized by the Spanish National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters (ANIEME) in collaboration with IVEX, the Valencia Institute for Foreign Trade. The main aim of this trade mission is to promote the made in Valencia furniture and to establish new contact with Russian buyers
and specifiers.
Considering export and production figures, the Valencia Community is the main furniture industrial cluster in Spain. It concentrates 26% of national production registering and export share of 23% over the total. In 2012, Russia ranked 5th among Valencia’s main markets and its purchases of Valencia’s furnishing products are on the increase (+54.2% in the period January-July 2013).
This trade mission is a follow-up to the opportunities identified in previous ANIEME’s market research and visits to other Russian markets, such as Chelyabinsk, Ufa, Novosibirsk, Ekaterimburg, Rostov, Stavropol, Sochi, Nalchik, etc. Promotion events took place as well in the most renowned furniture showrooms in Pyatigorsk and Volgograd.
