In collaboration with PHS, their local partner, iSimar has opened a new showroom in the centre of Paris, on the Avenue Iena, close to the Arch of Triumph. The opening in Paris is included within their 3-year internationalisation plan aimed at increasing sales and strengthening the presence of the brand in Europe and in the U.S.A. The firm has planned to invest 750,000 euros in promoting their designer line of metal furniture and boosting profitability in these markets. This way, iSimar, which expects to create 22 working places, aspires to turn itself into one of the global players in the outdoor metal furniture, next to France and Italy.
The showroom in Paris, which has a surface of 150sqm, puts on display the new line of contemporary metal chairs and tables, all of them inspired by the Mediterranean landscape and lifestyle. Full of colours and featuring beautiful, fun designs, the new collections are all focused on the interior design market for restaurants, bars, cafeterias, hotels, universities, and many other sectors.
The showplace wouldn’t be complete without the newly-launched items which were unveiled at the Salone in Milan and the ICFF in New York: the LAGARTO sofa by ILMIODESIGN, the OLIVO armchair and the successful BOLONIA armchair and lounge chair, all of them 100% made in Spain of polyester powder coated galvanised steel or aluminium.
As many other products of the brand’s catalogue, the new collections are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and are offered in 29 colours to match different ambiences and tastes.
The new line of metal furniture has proved to be successful as shown by the company’s turnover which has experienced an annual growth of more than +25%. The company hopes to double the sales during the next 3 years thanks to the exportation.
About the company
iSimar is the brand of the Noain-based San Isidro Industries, a company that over the last 44 years has specialised in the manufacturing of metal structures made of rods and tubes. After the crisis in 2013, when most of their main subcontracting clients suffered large drops in sales and some of them even entered a liquidation process, the firm has experienced a major strategic transformation. iSimar’s new direction is now focused on diversification, development of its own products, branding, design, high value added, and exports. As a matter of fact, sales to other countries increased up to a 50% of the total invoice in 2016 confirming that this is the correct strategy to follow.
