International buyers and specifiers from 60 countries have confirmed their visit to Habitat’19

September 11 / 2019

Everything is ready for the next edition of the Valencia Habitat Fair which is expected to be one of the most successful editions of the latest years. Not only has the event, which will open its doors on Tuesday the 17th September at the Feria Valencia and will run until Friday the 20th, increased its exhibition area (+ 41%) and the number of exhibitors (+ 21%), it has also raised the interest and the expectations of the professionals in the global interior design industry.

A good proof of this is the successful result of the Guest Buyer Programme launched by the official organizer of the trade show and other institutions: the effort of the last months has been rewarded by the high percentage of confirmations from professionals invited: almost 2,000 buyers, interior designers and architecture studios have confirmed their visit to the 4-day event, a figure that almost doubles the last year’s result.

Besides invited visitors, there is a significant percentage of professionals who attend the fairs spontaneously booking their tickets though the pre-registration tool on the website of the fair. Last year’s edition registered a total of 26,140 professional visitors, either national and international, and on the basis of the increase in the number of visitors who are currently pre-registering on the official Habitat website, that figure is expected to improve this year. As for today, pre-registrations are +10% over last year’s results.

This year, there is one more attraction to the list of reasons to visit the fair. Valencia has just been designated World Design Capital ®(WDC) 2022 by the World Design Organization (WDO)® as a result of its longstanding design legacy. The city has turned into a leading example of an effective and strategic use of design for the development of public policies and industrial strategies.
