I Saloni WorldWide Moscow 2017: Tecni Nova

Luxe furnishing. Founded in Yecla in 1986 by Antonio Muñoz, an experienced traditional upholsterer who wanted to take advantage of new production technologies –hence the name-,  the firm is currently run by the third generation who has invested on cutting-edge manufacturing processes focusing on the internationalization of the brand. Changes in manufacturing processes allowed the firm to renovate the formal classic style by breaking rules and introducing into its collections unusual twists and more contemporary lines.

FORTUNE II Collection. Carlos Soriano & Miguel Angel Muñoz. Tecni Nova Design Team

The extension of the former FORTUNE collection, which has proved successful since its launch last year at the Milano fair, proposes a new way of understanding luxury furniture. Top quality materials, artisan mastery, design and the evocation of the firm’s founding culture are at the heart of this this new concept by Tecni Nova deluxe furnishing.

Featuring a sophisticated design, clean lines and well-proportioned volumes, the collection is available with a complete range of pieces for different ambiences: sofas and armchairs, bedroom and living room programmes, dining room sets, coffee tables, chest-of-drawers, wardrobes and bar cabinets. All the furniture is made of the finest materials, such as leathers and noble and exotic woods (iroko, zebrano, walnut), and finished with fine lacquers and attractive fabrics and velvets.

Inspirations have been drawn mainly the Mediterranean landscape and culture. Textures have been inspired by traditional crafts, while colours draw from the surrounding nature. Interwoven esparto, palm and wicker in traditional baskets has inspired fabric textures.

Goldsmithing has been on the other hand the source of inspirations for polished or bright metallic finishes, focused on colours such as copper, bronze and anthracite.

With its turquoise and beige tones, the new 4228 bedroom is totally inspired by nature and the relaxing Mediterranean atmospheres. The upholstered headboard features an intriguing design made of hexagons that recalls a honeycomb.

The upholstered pieces dress in the multi-coloured palette of the orchards: pumpkin orange,  wool beige, foal skin, and golden wheat. The natural wood of forests combines with the dark green of forest shadows and the grey of misty dawns to create an evocative atmosphere.
