HURTADO furnishes a house in Southport, Australia
Boasting top quality materials and refined detailing, the collections from the HURTADO EVOLUTION and HURTADO TRADITIONAL catalogues have proved the right choice for many residential projects in Spain and overseas. Recently, the Valencia-based company has completed work on the decoration of an exclusive apartment in Southport, a suburb and the central business district of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Pieces used in HURTADO’s most recent projects will be on display at the Hábitat Valencia 2016, in Hall 6 Stand G143. Pay them a visit or just read on…
With a presence in more than 50 countries, HURTADO was commissioned by its Australian partner to participate in the decoration of a luxurious apartment. Most of the spaces have been decorated in an elegant contemporary style, with an emphasis on refined finishes and soft tones that contribute to achieve a warm look.

For the spacious and diaphanous dining and living room the client chose pieces from the contemporary clean-lined MON collection. The dining table, sideboard and the eye-catching bar cabinet, one of the latest launches of the brand, have been supplied in dark walnut with fine chrome details.
Chairs have been upholstered in warm earth tones to accentuate the relaxed aesthetic of the interiors.
MON has also been chosen for the main bedroom, but the headboard has been adapted to suit the need and taste of the client. The leather upholstery has been supplied in a soft cream tone that matches perfectly with the refined wall covering.
Following the client’s brief, a made-to-measure upholstered king headboard has also been supplied for the twin room. The rest of the furnishing has been completed with pieces from the contemporary QUORUM collection.
A completely different style has been chosen for the spare double room. The classic lines of the TRIANON bedroom furniture, from the Hurtado Traditional Catalogue, have proved perfect to bring elegance and refinement and create a subtle contrast with the architecture and the room décor.
The company, which is based in Valencia and has a branch in High Point, USA, makes furniture for the residential market but also has a contract division which works on many exclusive residential and office projects in Spain and overseas. HURTADO was founded in 1940 and it has gone on to achieve an enviable reputation for its fine designs as well as for high quality craftsmanship.
