Furniture from Spain at EquipHotel 2016

After a successful participation in the Orgatec in Cologne, Germany, a group of Spanish companies exhibit at the EquipHotel, which will be held from 6 to 10 November 2016 at Paris Porte de Versailles. A presence that confirms the dynamism of the Spanish furniture industry in the contract markets and its commitment to offering new solutions and adding value to interior design projects. The hospitality sector is more dynamic than ever with new business models emerging to meet the needs of evolving consumers, such as the Millennials – the “Generation Me”, individuals born during the early 1980s to early 2000s-, and new habits. As a matter of fact, over the latest decades, the value proposition within hospitality has evolved from a pure product play (e.g., hotel room, management service) to an experiential proposition with a higher level of customized services.

As a major meeting place and networking platform for the entire hospitality industry, the EquipHotel is a source of inspiration for architects, decorators and designers who have to face new significant challenges and radical transformations. The five-day show presents a broad-based, comprehensive offer spanning the entire market: kitchen equipment & food products; decoration, design & fittings; bathroom & Spa; technologies & services.

Spain, which represents the 3^rd international contingent, will be present in main halls 3, 4 and 7 with a wide offer that include from electronic and telecommunication systems, floor coverings, kitchen equipment and tableware, food products and packaging to indoor & outdoor furniture, mattresses, lighting products and textiles.

The brands of Furniture from Spain concentrates in the Indoor & Outdoor Furniture hall (3) where they will display an array of products and interior design solutions aimed at turning hotels and restaurants into places for living, connecting and enjoying inspirational experiences.

Set up in 1991, BRUCS understands the decor as a unique way to convey feelings, so that all their work aims at creating enchanting atmospheres for exclusive residential and hospitality environments. Their timeless designs blur the boundaries between past, present and future. They achieve this result by adapting craftsmanship and traditional furniture designs to current needs and modern uses.

Iron, leather and natural wood combine with recycled materials, brushed colours, distressed finishes and eye-catching textiles to evoke sensations and turn conventional spaces into unique, subtle ambiences.

Such those of the Zum Murnauer Hotel in Murnau or the Linder Spa in Weirmarer Land, both in Germany, or the Aiguablava Hotel in Costa Brava, Spain, one of their latest projects.

A specialist in mattresses and sleep products, ECUS will present at EquipHotel its new 360 Grados catalogue, which include a large selection of products specifically designed for the hospitality and contract markets. Founded in 1966, the Spanish KETTAL owes its international acclaim to its top quality outdoor furniture that embellishes and brings comfort to the most elegant terraces all around the globe. In partnership with big names of the international design scene (Patricia Urquiola, Jasper Morrison, Rodolfo Dordoni, just to name a few), they have developed some amazing collections that fuse perfectly artistic creativity and structural engineering, also helped by a clever use of materials: from aluminium to timber and from natural fibres to synthetic textiles.

Among the latest proposals, the Doshi Levien’s high-rise CALA armchair stands out for its statuesque presence and elegant lightness. With a transparent knitted-rope weave, the armchair features a ‘latticed window’ to offer visual privacy, while allowing a firm connection with the surroundings. Composed of coated aluminium sections, with teak legs or an aluminium pedestal base, the versatile unit can be used for indoors and outdoors. Provided with modern technology, the company has the capacity and expertise to work on big residential and hospitality projects, meeting the requirements of professionals in terms of quality standards and made-to-measure solutions.

At EquipHotel they will put on display a hotel room totally furnished with their products: a bed with a big headboard and frame, two bedside tables in different styles – one classic and the other contemporary-, a writing desk, a minibar, an armchair, a chair and a wardrobe. The light tones of the furniture and the subtle combination of wood and marble create a relaxed yet stylish hotel ambience.

With more than 50 year of experience in the furniture market, RESOL was the Spanish company that produced the first chair totally injected in polypropylene. Today it designs, manufactures and commercializes a wide range of furniture under the brands RESOL GARDEN, RESOL CONTRACT, BARCELONA DD and VILAGRASA.

In collaboration with prestigious international designers, such as Josep Lluscà, Joan Gaspar, Jorge Pensi, Ton Haas and David Carrasco Barceló, they have developed a comprehensive range of furniture and accessories for the hospitality and office markets.

At the EquipHotel they showcase some of their latest collections for hospitality spaces, such as the versatile HOOP bench, which is composed by three different geometrical pieces that can be freely combined; the LISBOA stool, a design by Joan Gaspar; and the SKY chaise longue, which offers a subtle balance between lightness, ergonomics and transparency.
