FURNITURE FROM SPAIN, a brand committed to the environment

Being aware of the environmental impact of the furniture industry, FURNITURE FROM SPAIN has decided to take action on it signing a series of agreements with organizations and companies that ensure the minimization of the contaminating and wasteful activities of the furniture production chain.

Our objective is to provide the Spanish furniture industry with a set of real solutions that can be applied to the industrial processes, bringing sustainable products and technologies to the market.

This way, Spanish furniture and decor brands can supply the market with environment-friendly products and more ecological materials that meet the eco standards in term of processes and can become easily recyclable and safe for the planet.

Furniture from Spain, great support for the renewable energies

First step in this direction was the signing of a Collaboration Agreement with NOVALUZ, a leading provider of Smart Electricity Supply Solutions for Smart SMEs. The company was set up by a group of businessmen who are experts in the creation of energy companies that, today, provide their services to more than 40,000 SMEs in the Nordic countries.

NOVALUZ has therefore a deep experience in the energy and electricity markets for SMEs. The electricity they put at disposal of SMEs is certified by the CNMC as 100% green and coming exclusively from renewable sources.

Spanish furniture companies can benefit from NOVALUZ’s highly competitive offer for the SMEs market and access an electricity supply with very advantageous conditions that were previously only available to large companies.

Solar panels and wind power plants are already a reality in the Spanish furniture industry, but we strive to strengthen their presence and make the national furniture production go entirely green in a near future.

We care about forests

The preservation and improvement of forest is another big issue for FURNITURE FROM SPAIN as it is crucial to maintaining the ecosystem and keeping the planet habitable. For this reason, we have also signed a Collaboration Agreement with FSC, the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC is an international organization that promotes the sustainable and economically viable management of the world’s forests.

In their fight against poor forest practices, FCS runs a global forest certification system with two key components: the Forest Management Certification and the Chain of Custody. These certifications allow businesses and consumers to identify, purchase and use wood, paper and other forest products made with materials from well-managed forests and/or recycled sources.

As you can see, from FURNITURE FROM SPAIN we have launched different initiatives that have a sole, common objective, to encourage Spanish companies to adopt green solutions and apply sustainable policies that aim at reducing their carbon footprint, cut fuel bills and show an eco-friendly stance.
