According to a 2012 study by Bain & Company, China make up 25% of the luxury goods market, having recently surpassed the U.S. as the top consumer of luxury brands. On top of this, China’s per capita GDP is steadily rising and, as a consequence, China’s current demand of high-end furnishing product is expected to keep increasing in the small term.

Since 2006, China ranks among the top 25 main destination markets of Spanish furniture, having increased its purchases of Spain’s products by 74.68% in the period 2006-2012. In 2013, a growth of more than 6% in furniture consumption can be predicted for the Asia and Pacific area, according to a recent report of CSIL, while Western Europe’s furniture consumption rate will contract by -1%.

With such premises, no wonder Spain’s focus will be on China! Stay tuned for more information next days…
