The promotion design event, organized by the prestigious Casa Palacio firm in collaboration with IVEX – the Valentian Institute of Foreign Trade -, is held in conjunction with the Design Week Mexico and is aimed to facilitate networking between the Valentian design brands and Mexican interior designers and specifiers.
Among the Valentian brands participating in the event there are: POINT, PACO CAMÚS, KOO INTERNATIONAL, GAMAMOBEL … all of them members of MUEBLE DE ESPAÑA.
Taking the opportunity of the exhibition, a trade mission, organized by ANIEME, is currently visiting Mexico DF and Guadalajara, participating also in the event.
With a population of 115 million people, Mexico ranks 3rd among American countries for its market size. But, size apart, there is also a general preference to import furnishing products from European countries, which are customs duty free, by the way, and highly appreciated for their stylish designs.
Consumer demand for design furniture products is on the increase, due to the construction of a larger number of commercial malls, office buildings and high-end residential complexes.
According to latest figures for the January-july period, Mexico has a share of 2% in the worldwide sales of Valencian furnishing products, ranking 2nd as main American markets and 10th on a worldwide scale.
With such a premise, Mexico is indeed a market to be taken in highly consideration by Valencian Community’s home and office furniture companies that can enjoy of good trade opportunities in the hospitality and residential sectors in the short time period.
