It’s not that simple get the best night’s sleep every night. People often complain that their mattress is too much firm or too much soft or that it doesn’t provide the right support and comfort for the way they sleep (back, side, stomach…). This can be really a problem when a couple has different sleeping habits and therefore different needs.

Firmly committed since their foundation to helping customers find a mattress that fits, ECUS has taking a step forward into the personalization of mattresses by creating COCOON, the mattress that adapts to individual preferences and situations.

COCOON, a new rest concept

COCOON is a new rest concept based in a mix of solutions that ensures different sleeping experiences in terms of firmness, temperature and sensations. The mattress structure is formed by two essential elements available in different configurations:

NEST

It’s the support element, the one that provides the firmness required: soft, medium, hard. [*] Although weight can be used as a guideline, the firm suggests that customers try the three different options in order to choose the most suitable one. They also guarantee that after 5 minutes on them, you’ll surely find your best choice!

• Soft < 70kg: three zone of adaptable support;

• Medium 70-90 kg: seven zones of adaptable support;

• Hard > 90 kg: higher density of pocket springs for extra firmness.

These different types of firmness are ensured by the patented Ecus Multispring® technology, based on different concentrations and arrangements (honeycomb or linear) of pocket springs.

TOPPING

Customers can choose among four different toppings to achieve the most convenient temperature and sensation. In addition to this, double mattresses can come with two different toppings in order to adapt the product to the needs of each partner.

• PCM²: thermal viscoelastic memory foam based on PCM technology (Phase Change Materials) to ensure an intelligent temperature control. It keeps the body temperature within the comfort zone (28⁰C- 30⁰C): cool in summer and warm in winter;

• Gel: designed for those, who are sensitive to hot temperatures. Made of a viscoelastic layer of 40 kg/m³ and Hydrogel®, it reduces the thermal perception between 3⁰C and 4⁰C, dissipating heat quickly;

• Breeze: made of highly resilient (HR) open cell PUR foam (50 kg/m³) to maximize the sensations of softness and lightness and ensure an excellent ventilation;

• Gravity: true sensation of weightlessness and pressure relief provided by the 100% Ecus® viscoelastic foam D-80 kg/m³. It distributes the body’s pressure points, reducing involuntary movements during the sleep cycle;

UPHOLSTERY & ACCESSORIES

With personalization as key factor, ECUS has added value to COCOON’s design by offering it in a range of seven different upholstery colours: ivory, rust, lightgrey, indigo, cappuccino, purple and darkbrown. This way, COCOON meets different styles and tastes while adapting easily to the context.

ECUS offers also a set of accessories, such as headboards, bases and pillows, specifically designed to make the most of th e COCOON’s experience.

Gone are the days when couples had to argue about their new mattress and then come to a compromise. From now on, everyone can choose the proper firmness and sensation and meet their individual preferences. Simply clever, isn’t it?
