CAPDELL is recognized with prestigious international awards as a highly innovative company

CAPDELL, Spanish company with more than 50 years as a chair manufacturer, has been recognized with prestigious international prices for its highly innovative and unique designs. Since 1967, they have been producing seats of different materials and finishes offering the maximum quality. Thanks to its innovation effort, some of CAPDELL's models haven been recognized with international awards.

The ECO chair has won the Good Design Award and the German Design Award. Designed by Carlos Tíscar, ECO presents a complex skeletal structure as its main feature. It is defined as an almost sculptural object.

Good Design Award is a prize that is given by the International Museum of Arquitecture and Design the Chicago Athenaeum, and that recognizes the innovation in design aspects. The wood work with plywood, its Nordic design and its high technical complexity have been combine to create a piece that stands out for its comfort and elegance.

This award reflects the success that CAPDELL has gain in the United States.

Thanks to PANEL lounge chair, CAPDELL has been winner of the Design Guild Mark Awards. The honour demonstrates the excellence in design and innovation and PANEL has these good qualities due to shape and comfort combination.

Furthermore, its designer Lucy Kurrein has been rewarded as the Young Designer of the Year, thanks to the PANEL chair, given by Homes&Gardens Design Week. This British magazine, specialised in interior decoration and design, gives recognitions to designers or decorators for their innovative work. In fact, Kurrein already obtained in 2015 the Young Furniture Designer award from this same magazine. Her talent, precision, vision of the future and passion are reflected in PANEL.

The NIX chair is not far behind either, as it has been awarded with the following prizes: Red Hot Award 2019 and Good Design Award 2018.

Spanish furniture trade: 2019 annual report

The Spanish National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters (ANIEME) has just released the Spanish furniture foreign trade report for the year 2019. Figures reveal that, during this period, Spain’s exports of furniture have grown by 4.7%, exceeding 2,318 million euros.
