After the successful participation at ICFF, HD Las Vegas, M&O Americas and the NeoCon Chicago, in June 11 to 19 MUEBLE DE ESPAÑA will be back to America with a trade mission of 6 furniture companies led by the ANIEME to Mexico and Peru. Get more info…
Main aim of the mission is to promote business contacts and strengthen the presence of furniture from Spain on both the retail and interior design markets of the two countries. The six Spanish furniture companies that participate in the mission are: CANELLA, SOHER, MOBLIBERICA, SUINTA, TRASMAN and ARTURO ESCUDERO.
In Mexico, ANIEME counts on the collaboration of ICEX and its Commercial Office in Mexico City, which is responsible for coordinating the agendas of meetings with Mexican firms. Meeting agendas in Peru has been prepared by the ANIEME’ technical staff, based on contacts previously visited by the Association during market research conducted in Lima.
Networking interviews will take place at the headquarters of the Peruvian companies in the city of Lima and, in the case of Mexico, in Mexico City and Guadalajara.
In both cases, these are countries that are going through an important phase of economic, tourism and urban growth, which is embodied by the increasing number of projects in various fields: hospitality, residential, corporate. Imports of furniture are therefore on the rise, opening up new business opportunities for FURNITURE FROM SPAIN’s brands.
In the latest 10 years, Peru has experienced a sustained economic growth of around 5% of GDP on average. But positive prospects are also fueled by the sharp increase in public and private investments in the country. Lima has become a major gastronomic capital of Latin America, and as a result in recent years the number of high-end restaurants by both Peruvian and international chefs has been proliferating. Some of the most luxurious international hotel chains are already present in Peru (Westin, Marriott, Hilton, Melia, AC ...) and tourist and hotel expansion towards the north coast is expected in the short term.
At the moment, Mexico too offers interesting opportunities for Spain’s furnishing brands. This is the reason why the ANIEME has decided to concentrate part of its efforts in analyzing and sourcing the real possibilities of business that this market can offer to Spanish companies in the short to medium terms. During the first quarter of 2015, the Spanish furniture exports to Mexico have increased more than 66%, with Mexico ranking 11th among Spain’s main destination markets for furniture products.
With such premises, Spanish companies, mainly manufacturers of medium to high-end modern and contemporary style furniture, can really have real business opportunities in both countries and in both the retail and contract sectors, where made in Spain furniture is highly appreciated by consumers and on increasing demand for interior design projects.
