It all started a long time ago, in 1943, and now, after 70 years, ALMERICH lighting still maintains all the hallmarks of high quality and exclusivity that were at the heart of the old small workshop’s production. ALMERICH is a family run business that was founded in 1943 and in 70 years it has achieved a worldwide reputation for excellence in quality and design. It is a leading manufacturer of classical, luxurious lighting – the Almerich Classic – but since 1990 it has developed new contemporary designer ranges that go under the brand almerich (Almerich Design).

Now in its third generation, the company is still strongly committed to its artisan past and top quality standards. “My father, Antonio Almerich Villanueva, left us a great legacy and his work is still a source of inspiration for us” says Antonio Almerich Jr., son and owner of the company.

“Pieces were born from his hand in a small workshop in the neighborhood of La Olivereta in Valencia. This year we celebrate our 70^th anniversary, we have gone a long way towards more technological manufacturing processes, but we still keep to our roots. The design process is entirely in-house developed. Our highly skilled craftsmen intervene in every aspect of the production process. That’s why our lighting products are so exclusive and elegant, real master pieces, I dare say.”

He says that the Almerich Classic catalogue contains more than 2,000 references, all of them drawing inspirations from classical aesthetic models. “But they are not reproductions of antique pieces” Antonio points out “as we know that current functional needs have little to do with those of past times. We kind of reinterpretate the classics and adapt them to current trends”.

After having been assembled and decorated, pieces receive a varnish protective layer so that they remain unaltered over time. Electrical and electronic parts and their installation comply with the existing guidelines and international regulations of the destination markets.

ALMERICH works closely with its clients and its design team is able to respond to every requirement in terms of dimensions, number of lights, finishes etc.

Over the years, the company’s chandeliers, pendants and lamps have been the first choice of renowned interior designers and now they embellish residential villas, restaurants, hotels etc. all over the world.
